  • The buzz about Milan Luthria's Haji Mastan bio-pic Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai is that Amitabh Bachchan makes a guest appearance in a very unexpected way. When asked about the Bachchan presence in the film, director Milan Luthria says, "I don't know where you heard this. But it's true. In the course of the film Ajay's character's girlfriend played by Kangna Ranaut mentions to him that there should be a film made on his life. To this Ajay replies, 'Now you want me to turn into an actor?' Kangna then tells Ajay about this young intense actor named 'Ami' who is just right to play Haji Mastan." The Big B had played Haji Mastan in Yash Chopra's Deewaar which was released in 1975. Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai is set in the 1970s. Interestingly Devgn, who plays Mastan in Milan Luthria's film was often compared to the Big B when he started his career, even by Jaya Bachchan. Luthria says the Big B is not mentioned by name. Says the director, "I'd never make any reference to Mr. Bachchan that can be considered even remotely disrespectful. But yes, Kangna refers to him as 'the young intense actor'. Besides the fact that they both play characters inspired by the same real-life character, the interesting part of the Bachchan reference in Devgn's context is that the younger actor has perpetually been compared with the Big B's for the dark and brooding intensity.   • After a relatively quieter first half of 2010, prolific composer Pritam is back in the limelight yet again. He has just delivered a chartbuster soundtrack in Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai, the songs of which can be heard from all nooks and corners. Moreover, he has a jam packed second half of the year ahead, what with biggies like Action Replayy, Golmaal 3 and Crook: It's Good To Be Bad in the offing. While it is a given that there would be at the least a couple of chartbusters in each of his forthcoming films (well unless law of averages proves otherwise), there also has been a strong buzz around him doing a few promotional music videos. This is not something new for him though since in the past, he has faced the camera while shooting songs for films like Life In A Metro and Mukhbir. No wonder, it didn't sound improbable when news started making the rounds that he, along with one of his favourite singers Neeraj Sridhar, was roped in for promotional tracks of Action Replayy and Golmaal 3. While Pritam is working for the first time with Vipul Shah - the maker of Akshay Kumar and Aishwarya Rai starrer Action Replayy - he has been a constant fixture with Rohit Shetty after Golmaal Returns and All The Best. However, when enquired, Rohit dismissed the theory about Pritam being used as a face of the music as well. "No, he is not doing any music video of Golmaal 3. There was never even a plan for this so it is surprising that such a piece of news has actually floated around. In fact I am hearing it for the first time", he says. On the other hand Vipul couldn't hide his amusement when 'informed' about the presence of Pritam in his upcoming film. "Now this is really funny", he says in amazement, "How could this be even a possibility? Especially so when I have Akshay and Aishwarya in my film. They are enough to be the face of the videos here. Pritam has done well in the studio while recording music and that's good enough for me." Well, further investigation reveals that Pritam has indeed done a music video along with Neeraj but that's neither for Action Replayy nor Golmaal 3. It is in fact for 'not so usual suspect' Aashayein (starring John Abraham), the music of which has just hit the stands. The song in question is 'Mera Jeena Hai Kya' which features both Pritam along with Neeraj in a specially designed music video. This is not all as there is another song in the album as well that has a promotional music video made around it. Titled 'Dilkash Dildaar Duniya', it features Shaan. Incidentally, Pritam is the guest composer of the film and has contributed only two songs in an album that mainly has Salim-Suleiman as the prime composers.    I liked the show initially but now I hate Nikhil and Raghu. They seem to be getting pretty carried away with themselves. I mean can u just insult anyone like that? And why do people take it? I would have slapped Nikhil for being so rude. I keep yelling to the auditioners (if there’s such a word)…get up and slap him for God’s ske. Don’t take his BS. You don’t have to.WHo does he think he is anyway? What his claim to fame? Just becoz he’s on a few TV shows does that give him the right to be so rude? And its pretty obvious that if a sweet and pretty girl comes for the audition they will let her join up. She doesn’t have to be tough. But if she’s forthright or tough they give her hell, especially if she’s not pretty.(By the way Nikhil the male balding pattern bit is catching up with u! Better not turn your back to the camera) Raghu can be hateful but somehow he’s more mature.Sees through people. I like the fact that he has the courage to be completely bald.

   Hi Supriya,I think you are just looking what Nikhil and Raghu are doing with the participants,you are not seeing the reason behind this. They want a tough person to become a MTV roadie. In MTV roadies, people see those person whom they never want to see in their life but due to this show they have to stay with them and complete tasks with them as their partner. If a person who can not control himself may breakdown in middle of the show or may break others face. They are selecting people who can control there anger and who can face any kind of humiliation. If a participant can pass through their humiliation for just an hour then he/she can survive the humiliations in MTV roadies which will be for at least a week. I think what they are doing is good. They shout and abuse the participants just to test their tolerance level.You can see in Ashutosh’s case. He was so cool that they didn’t get chance to shout or abuse.

   i just want to tell that raghu is perfect in his jude position because he know how to take out each an every merit & demerit of an participant .he always select that participant as a roadie who like to be adventourous it means that he/she should be mentally & physically strong & have an ability to perform the difficult task in the journey of roadie but one thing i dont like that telling all the bad words but being a human i can understand it is really very difficult to take audition of 100 participant only in one day.

   Yes,it is true that its not easy for anyone to take auditions of 100 participants in a day.But I want to clear that whether there are 100 auditions in a day or 1000 auditions a day, Raghu and Nikhil are judges. They can’t let their mind divert from their main aim i.e to select a roadie.
   They don’t say bad words because they are angry or frustrated, they say bad words just to see the participant’s tolerance level. Because in future of MTV roadies, participants will be saying these kind of bad words whole day. If a participant can’t even bare bad words for just an hour then how can he/she survive in MTV roadies where they might have to hear these bad words for whole day.

   I don’t agree that they have to be rude. They were very sweet to Shamvi (I hope I got her name right) and only because she is a pretty girl. Their prejudices are obvious right from the beginning. And its ok to be rude but be caustic rude, cynical rude, sarky rude. Don’t abuse. Its easy to abuse when you have something to give and the other person needs something from you. You know the person will not stand up against you. And if he or she does…then like God you can wave your magic wand and say…ok you so and so. Get out. You’re not going to be a roadie. And thats precisely what they did.

   Supriya, you are right that a person in a need, will never stand against a person, who is having the required thing but that is what the game is all about. In every task of the game, someone definitely becomes the captain of the team and he selects people for the task. That captain can be a very rude and abusive person. In that situation, the person who can not handle the situation, will either quit the task or he/she will break the other person’s nose. In both the situations, the program will be out of the track.

   And you said that Nikhil and Raghu were not abusive towards Shambhavi(This is the right name).You can say that but, what I have seen in the show,Nikhil and Raghu were abusive against the persons who were liar and yet stubborn. And Shambhavi did not do any thing wrong. She did what they told her to do. And in general, girls can not listen to that much abusive and rude language.If Raghu and Nikhil had done the same with girls, then for a moment you must have thought that MTV Roadies is like the ‘Saas Bahu soap’ in which someone is crying in every single minute of the show.
   Raghu was very hyper and angry in Anmol’s interview, just because she wrote in her form that she is a stephenian.Till the end of her interview she was weeping in front of them. And the first question Nikhil and Raghu asked her about her strength because in her form, she wrote that she is a strong girl.
