    Not wanting to sound petulant, Lilette quickly adds, "I did it for the pleasure of being directed by John Madden and for working with Maggie Smith and Judi Dench. They made it memorable. I remember for one scene where Maggie was supposed to give me an off camera cue she sat on her wheelchair in the burning sun of Jaipur for 4 ½ hours. I finally couldn't take it any longer. I went up to her and told her there was no need for her to be there. She turned around and said it was her job. Just watching an actress like Maggie Smith is so enriching. I don't regret doing The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel at all. My role may be minuscule. But I derived tremendous pleasure in being a part of the cast."
    
    The film is expected to open later this month in India. Lilette is hoping that Indian audience won't be disappointed.

    Cannes is one of those unavoidable commitments. Aishwarya did try to find a way out of it. But finally she has decided to go. Says a source close to the family, "In the Bachchan parivar professional commitments are sacrosanct. And Aishwarya is therefore going to Cannes as per schedule."
    
    However, whether Araadhya accompanies her mother is still undecided. While the family has left the decision to Aishwarya, the actress' friends say she is still in two minds as to whether she should let her baby make that long-distance journey or not.
    
    Says a friend of the actress, "Aishwarya is at the moment focusing only on the question of whether the baby accompanies her or not. She has given absolutely no thoughts to what she'll wear at Cannes and how she'd conduct herself there. Those are questions that don't even crop up in her head. Neither does the issue of weight-gain worry her. To Aishwarya her daughter's wellbeing is all that matters. The rest - beauty, career, success, stardom - are all at the moment, hazy things best left in the background."
    
    A very close friend who rang her up this week to catch up said, "I've never seen her so content before. Never has she been so at peace with herself. She is playing the most cherished role of her life. And loving it."
    
    As for little Araadhya walking the red carpet in her iconic mother's arms in Cannes, friends and family say the prospect is highly doubtful.
    
    "If Araadhya finally accompanies her mother to Cannes - which in all likelihood she would have to for practical reasons- she would not be brought into the public domain.

Kareena Kapoor (Biography)

Birth Place:Mumbai, India
Height: 5′ 5
Bio:
Kareena is the granddaughter of the famous Raj Kapoor and daughter of actor/producer Randhir and Hindi film actress Babita.
She did her schooling from Jamnabai Narsee School and later from Welham Girls, Dehradun. She has a degree from Mithibai College and went to Kishore Namit Acting School.
Kareena Kapoor debuted in the film Refugee (2000) along with Abhishek Bachchan.
In 2001, Kareena starred in Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai opposite Tusshar Kapoor.
She also has been a part of movies like Yaadein, Asoka, Ajnabee and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham.
Kareena also played the role of a prostitute in the 2004 film Chameli, which proved to be a turning point in her career.
Later in the same year, Kareena played a negative role for the first time in Ken Ghosh’s Fida and played her first comic role in Hulchul.
Some other releases include Aitraaz, Bewafaa, 36 China Town and Chup Chup Ke.
However, Kareena was highly recognised for her portrayal of Desdemona in the Indian adaptation of William Shakespeare’s Othello, Omkara.
Kareena’s latest movie is Imtiaz Ali’s Jab We Met, which went on to become a great hit at the box office.

   shahid had affair with amrita and recommened her for his another movie. he was also associated with few others. that is why kareena started losing hope n lost a lot of weight and finally ditched him. u go gal!!!!!!!…….but i dont like her dating saif though…he is a player..bad choice

    I think Kareena is the most gorgeous actress in Bollywood. Not only good in acting, she is witty too.
