Hot Daddies of Bollywood!

Posted by Upasana Jain on 30th September 2008

In ‘Reel’ life, actors may play many shades of human character whether good, bad or ugly. However, in ‘real’ life, they are surely playing role of responsible and adoring daddies. Bollywood daddies isn’t dawdling behind, if hollywood is high on hot dads like Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt. We have listed hot and sexiest daddies of bollywood.

1. Shahrukh Khan

Shahrukh may be possessive about his number one position. But when it comes to sharing the limelight with his perky kids Aryan and Suhana, the ever-indulgent father is all heart. Whether it’s planning lavish birthday parties for his kids, taking them on a fun-filled holiday in Europe or playing quiz games, King Khan loves to spend quality time with his brood.

2. Akshay Kumar

Whether it’s sporting a tattoo of his son’s name, Aarav on his back or dedicating films to him, like Heyy Babyy and the recently signed animation flick, Jumbo to him, Akshay Kumar is one illustrative dad.

3. Hrithik Roshan

Playing heartthrob to a million girls is part of the package for Hrithik Roshan. The real deal is his two adorable sons — Hrehaan and Hridhaan. Although, he is most happy to provide them with every luxury conceivable, the Dhoom star is reportedly quite health conscious and doesn’t allow them to binge on chocolate.

4. Arjun Rampal

Unlike the bad boy of Om Shanti Om or complex guitarist of Rock On!!, Arjun Rampal is a hands-on daddy to his two lovely daughters — Mahikaa and Myra. In fact, the young ladies loved their dad so much in his recent success, they decided to form their own mini-band.

5. Anil Kapoor

Though he’s effectively romancing heroines half his age in films like No Entry and Welcome, Anil Kapoor is essentially a proud and affectionate father to his 23-year old daughter, Sonam along with Rhea and Harshvardhan. Interestingly, it was his son’s idea that AK should take on Danny Boyle’s Slumdog Millionaire.

6. Amitabh Bachchan

Amitabh Bachchan has donned several avatars but the one that comes naturally to him is playing a loving father to his children, Abhishek, Shweta Nanda and his daughter-in-law, Aishwarya Rai. Be it inculcating good conduct, well-meaning diplomacy in them or going all out to support and protect their interests, Bachchan is a fabulous ‘Pa’.

Bollywood’s Best Dressed Heroines

Posted by Kokolicious on 30th September 2008

Fashion is a part of film industry. Beauty of a heroine gets enhanced if she is well dressed. In their new issue, People magazine has released their list of the Ten Best Dressed Women in 2008. Here it goes:

Priyanka Chopra

This former Miss World is on the mission to conquer bollywood. Her last few movies have flopped but Priyanka has kept her fingers crossed for her next flick ‘Drona‘ opposite Abhishek Bachchan and hopes that this movie will do well. She sports a different look in this movie and looks glamorous. No wonder she stands first on this list.

Preity Zinta

People magazine has dubbed Preity The Fashionista, thanks to her trendy outfits at the movies, and on the red carpet.

Kareena Kapoor

The Jab We Met girl has bloomed and how! Size zero or not, Kareena looks born to be on this list.

Katrina Kaif

People magazine called Katrina The Trendsetter, thanks to her fantastic fashion sense.

Shilpa Shetty

Shilpa Shetty managed to bounce back everytime people wrote her off. After her success in the reality show, Big Brother, Shilpa shows how it’s done in its desi counterpart, Bigg Boss.

Bipasha Basu

Bipasha  looks stunning in anything — from lehengas in Humko Deewana Kar Gaye to business wear in Corporate to a bikini in Dhoom 2.

Karisma Kapur

Aptly called The Sophisticate by People, Karisma looks stunning — whether she’s on the ramp or partying at Page 3 dos.

Malaika Arora Khan

The chhaiya chhaiya girl seems to look better with time. Malaika may be in her late 30s, but she still makes an item number look hot!

Deepika Padukone

Looking radiant and fresh, the Om Shanti Om girl, Deepika can carry off any outfit well.

Dia Mirza

Described as The Head Turner by People, Dia seems to be just that!

Theatrical trailer and Preview of Hello

Posted by Kokolicious on 30th September 2008

Hello… is a tale about the events that happen one night at a call center. Told through the views of the protagonist, Shyam, it is a story of almost lost love, thwarted ambitions, absence of family affection, pressures of a patriarchal set up, and the work environment of a globalized office.

Shyam is losing his girl friend because his career is going nowhere as he trudges his way around in a call center. His girl friend, Priyanka, is also an agent like him at the call canter who is about to be snatched by an NRI techno geek.

There is also the aspiring model, Esha, who is hopping for the break that seems to be always already eluding her and the man about town, Vroom, who is into well, things. The housewife, Radhika, who is constantly at the receiving end of her mother-in-law and a beleaguered grandfather, Military Uncle, who has been barred from interacting with his grandchild make up the rest of the call agents who see their worlds crumbling around them as the decisions of right sizing are conveyed by Bakshi, the boss.

It is a night when dreams will finally crumble. Or will it? For there is that call from God. Narrated as a tale within a tale as a beautiful woman meets the auteur narrator and promises him a story on the condition that he has to narrate it further, Hello, based on Chetan Bhaqat’s one night @ the call Center, is the one remarkable story from Tales from a Thousand and One globalizing, urban, Indian Nights.

Zayed khan to shoot Bollywood’s first underwater song

Posted by Kokolicious on 29th September 2008

MUMBAI: At the moment Zayed Khan has reason to be happy and unhappy. He’s happy because he’ll soon be shooting the first underwater song sequence ever in Hindi cinema. But inclement weather in Bangkok has held up shooting and the producers are losing a ton of money.

Zayed, who has been stationed in Bangkok and Phuket for the past month, says: "It’s never been done before. On the concept level itself it sounds too, too outrageous. The entire cast singing in the deep sea. That’s unique, man!"

Hate to burst Zayed’s bubble. But decades ago in "Anmol Moti" claiming to be India’s first underwater film Jeetendra and Babita sang ‘under water’, which was actually a swimming pool.

So, yes, "Blue" is the first Bollywood film that will have the entire cast of Sanjay Dutt, Akshay Kumar, Lara, Katrina and Zayed doing a song sequence in the deep sea.

A baffling concept for sure.

Laughs Zayed, "Yes. But you’ve to see how we’re going to do it. The director got the concept from an ad. We all jumped at it. It’s not often that you get to do something so unique."

But with the excitement comes the damper. Inclement weather in Bangkok is playing havoc with the "Blue" schedules.

Says the anxious and depressed Zayed, "We knew it was going to rain in Bangkok and Phuket. But not like this! Apparently this area has never had so much rains. Every day we’re losing precious time. Today again we’re stuck indoors while it pours outside. The producers are losing Rs.2.5 million per day. And moreover we can’t extend the shooting because we – Sanju Sir, Akshay and I – can’t give combined dates for a long time," said Zayed Saturday.

A good excuse for the unit to bond? "Not really. I’d rather be back home with my wife Malli(Malaika) and son Zidaan. I miss them, specially my son. I want to watch him grow, not be away for long periods from home and miss this phase in my son’s life."

Zidaan can’t travel with Papa all the time. "He came with my wife to the Bahamas when we were shooting there. But he can’t keep travelling all over. He has to develop an immunity system. I do miss my son. But my wife emails me his pictures every day."

Posted by Kokolicious on 27th September 2008

You must have seen Dhoni attending college in Pepsi ad, but now also in real life he is set to enroll for a graduate course at St Xavier’s College, Ranchi, with Office Management and Secretarial Practice as his majors. This decision of Dhoni has disappointed teachers and students of Gossener College where he had enrolled for a bachelor’s course in commerce in 1999 through sport’s quota.

Dhoni wants to be a normal college student and is open to ragging as well. He is willing to attend classes regularly. Teachers and students of St Xavier’s College are excited. Dhoni ki ye padhai kitne world cup layegi only time will tell.

MTV Roadies: Copy and Cheat but be careful !

Posted by Kokolicious on 26th September 2008

It’s not their looks or biceps that impressed Raghu, it was their attitude –-What you see is what you get. You are one of those fortunate fools to view these audition forms for the very first time. So take this seriously, it is not an exam where you can cheat and pass. Remember the judges can spot a faykoochand from a mile away.
