Bollywood Star Fights

Posted by Kokolicious on November 17th, 2008

Fights and cold wars are quite common in Bollywood. The latest victims are reportedly Akshay Kumar and his Singh Is Kinng director Vipul Shah who were earlier in same camp. Here is a list of Bollywood stars engaged in such wars.

Vipul Shah – Akshay Kumar

The duo have worked together in three films, the recent being the blockbuster Singh is Kinng. Their association dates back to Waqt: The Race Against Time in 2005, and then again in Namastey London. That’s why it was surprising when the director did not turn up for Akshay‘s Diwali party. Apparently, Shah is currently in Goa with Ajay Devgan, shooting for their new film together, London Dreams. Has the director earned a new friend at the expense of an old one? It could be true, as it seems that Akshay uped his market fee for Shah’s future films.

Shah Rukh Khan – Barry John

Shah Rukh Khan spent his early years under the tutelage of theatre guru Barry John. When he became a superstar, SRK turned his back on John. Apparently, John had hoped — when he shifted to Mumbai to start his acting academy — that his old students would help him out. But SRK did not give him any time. In a recent interview Shah Rukh even said, "I am not emotionally available for some people," referring to Barry John.

Deepika Padukone – Farah Khan

Director Farah Khan launched Deepika Padukone in Om Shanti Om, and the blockbuster film made her an overnight star. But Deepika did not return the favour. The actress ‘forgot’ to wish Farah on her birthday, and even ignored Gauri Khan during the recent Lakhme Fashion Week. She seemed to pre-occupied with boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor‘s mother Neetu Singh, cheering Ranbir, who walked the ramp for Arjun Khanna. "I don’t mind if Deepika didn’t call me because this is how many people in our industry behave post their success," Farah later said.

Mallika Sherawat – Mahesh Bhatt

The Bhatts have given breaks to many talents, including Mallika Sherawat. Though she had done Khwaish earlier, she got her big hit with Bhatt’s Murder, opposite Emraan Hashmi and Ashmit Patel. When Bhatt offered her a role in his next film, Mallika demanded an astronomical fee. She has never worked with the Bhatts since.

Aamir Khan – Mansoor Khan

Mansoor gave his cousin Aamir his first hit Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak. They went on to make Akele Hum Akele Tum after a few years. But when Mansoor started on his next project Josh, Aamir refused. The perfectionist that he was, Aamir wanted to play Shah Rukh Khan’s role in the film. Since Mansoor had already decided on King Khan, he refused. The role finally went to Chandrachud Singh. Recently, the cold vibes gave way to friendship, as Mansoor came on board on Aamir’s home production, Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Naa.

Sanjay Dutt – Sanjay Gupta

The actor-filmmaker shared a great rapport and did many films like Kaante, Musafir, Zinda and Shootout at Lokhandwala. But soon, differences regarding finance began to creep into their relationship. Dutt soon walked out of their joint production house, White Feather Films, and formed his own banner, Sanjay Dutt Productions.

Bipasha Basu – Mahesh Bhatt

Mallika Sherawat wasn’t the only actress, who turned her back on Mahesh Bhatt. Bipasha Basu scored her first hits in Jism, and Raaz. But the actress has never worked with the Bhatts since. Even though the Raaz sequel is being made, Bipasha will not be a part of it.

Mahima Choudhary – Subhash Ghai

Ghai launched Mahima in his film, Pardes, opposite Shah Rukh Khan. The film is one of the few hits to her credit. But soon, the two had differences due to a violation in the three-film contract. Apparently, Ghai did not allow Mahima to work on other projects until her contract with Mukta Arts expired, and that did not go down well with the actress. They have never worked together again.
